I just wanted to provide an update for the field. We have called everywhere looking for asphalt millings. The response has been the same from everyone. So little paving has been done over the winter months that there is no quantity of millings to supply our needs. I am hearing that paving jobs should be going by the end of this month and hopefully the supply of millings we require will be available. We have looked at other alternatives, but they are either too expensive or don’t fit our needs. I promise, no one wants this field operational more than me. I hate the delay, but we need to continue to be patient until the millings become available. I have discussed with the club officers and we decided that club dues renewal will be one year after the official opening of the field. I think some folks were concerned about getting less than a year for their dues since they paid a month or more back. We want everyone to get a full year for the dues paid.

On another note. We’re 2 weeks away from our fun Fly (1141 AL-48 Lineville AL). This will be a lot of fun and I hope to see you there. If you can’t go and want to contribute food, put your name on the list and we’ll make arrangements to get the food items from you. If you haven’t received the email list from Gene, let me know. We will also be making event T-Shirts with funds going to the club. If you want one, email me size and quantity. They are $20 for S-XL and add $2 for sizes above that. I will accept payments ahead of the event by cash or PayPal. Let me know in the email how you’d like to pay. The shirt will be light grey with a CRCC logo on the front and a “Huckin’ in the Holler” logo on the back.
